Is the American Dream Alive and Well?
This report, co-written by John E. Morton and Isabel V. Sawhill, outlines what economic mobility is, why it matters in today’s economy, and why it is important for policy makers to focus on mobility as part of the ongoing national economic debate. The report finds American men now have, on average, 12 percent less income than their fathers’ generation did at the same age. While factors other than cash income contribute to economic mobility, this data challenges the two-century-old presumption that each successive generation will be better off than the one that came before.

birdshit rock
for the last five years or so, there have been a variety of art installations on top of this iconic sunset cliffs formation. not sure exactly how it's done, although i do remember seeing a rope dangling off the side once. the artist must be a pretty good rock climber....
wave out front produces some decent surf every now and then. as they say: "every dog has it's day." that's me on the longboard in the last photo....

spiderman
sold off most of my comic book collection around 10 years ago, but i kept a small number including these spidey issues. i always liked the black costume, although apparently it turns out to be an evil alien, or something. the web #1 issue is signed by cover artist charles vess who has done some really nice stuff over the years.
