for the last five years or so, there have been a variety of art installations on top of this iconic sunset cliffs formation. not sure exactly how it's done, although i do remember seeing a rope dangling off the side once. the artist must be a pretty good rock climber....













































































wave out front produces some decent surf every now and then. as they say: "every dog has it's day." that's me on the longboard in the last photo....

cliff failure

in the center of the photo, you can see where part of the sandstone cliff has sloughed off onto an exposed part of the reef. as the pile of rocks erodes, more sand is created which naturally replenishes the beach....
